従来のマイクロ流体デバイスは、平面基板上に、半導体製造技術であるリソグラフィ法を利用して作製されてきた。しかし、平面以外の流路構造を作製できないという課題がある。発明者らは、回転熱延伸装置を開発し、これを利用して立体構造を有するらせん流路、あるいはマイクロコイルファイバーを製造した。さらに、その用途（例：電気泳動）も考案された。 本技術のポイント： ・柔軟的なデザインが可能：ファイバーの材料（高強度、弾性材料の選択）、サイズ、ピッチ（コイルの間隔）、中空部分の形状（中空にしないことも可能）、挿入電極の本数などは、ユーザーの要望に応じてデザイン可能。 ・機能の多様化：導電性材料、磁性材料、生体適合材料など様々な素材を巻き込むことで、多機能・高性能な複合ファイバーが作製可能。 ・製造装置の小型化：取扱いやすいサイズ。

Introducing the creation of hydrogel fibers using microchannels. This technology allows for a gentle progression of the gelation reaction within a microchannel with a flow focusing structure, making shape control easy. It enables the precise fabrication of single-strand hydrogel fibers (approximately 100μm in thickness).
